ATTENTION
My door lock springs will be unavailable for several months while I attend to the arrival of our baby Jeeper. BJ's Offroad is now offering a version of FSJ door lock springs that you might want to check in the meantime.
Thanks,
Michael
Do you have the dreaded FSJ "auto locking" doors? It's caused by a broken spring in the door latch. You can fix this with a NOS latch costing $140-170 per door but these hand-wound reproduction door lock torsion springs will fix the problem for $1.50 per door--less if you buy in bulk! For 1979.5-1991 FSJs or pre 1979.5 rigs, specify when you order.
International Scout owners: contact me to try the late model FSJ springs in your 1971-80.
Each spring is hand tested and heat treated for extended life. Includes installation and latch maintenance instructions to restore smooth operation to your latches. The OEM spring is pictured in the lower right. The low tension spring is at the left (not yet available) and the rest are hand wound OEM-alike springs.
2 springs for $3, 4 for $5, 8 for $8. S&H $4.95 to the US via Priority Mail.
Need more than 8 or live outside the US? Let me know.
